From the RCJ Rapid Reply on the Newsome story...

Nestled in between comments about "fugatives" and statements that "the ACLU has unlimited funds" (got a good laugh out of that one) there was a comment on the Newsome story at the RCJ site is right on. Except I don't blame the police officers, I blame the RCPD's policies, which are apparently from the bad old days:

I, as a career military man am insulted that that the ACLU is just seeking an apology. I am not gay, but the idea that she put in NINE YEARS of her life just to have some self righteous red neck cop sneak inform on her makes me boil. I truly believe most Republicans are going to hell for making normal folks feel like crap. This is America. I did 25 years in the military so we could be free. Don't ask, Don't tell is a major distance from those ideals.
