As an adherent to a fine liturgical tradition that says that we are still in the church season of Advent for another 23 days yet, I still can get pretty excited about what's coming up Saturday night -- fine instrumentalists and singers bringing us some wonderful Christmas favorites.
The program will include some wonderful Christmas settings, both more traditional, and the exquisite Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols. (More on the BHSO at their website.)
They will also be playing some Nutracker excerpts, among other things. It will be a great concert for all ages.
