Apparently our new Rapid City neighbor Carolyn has come here so she can get personal veto power over school library books she doesn't like. Or convince the Legislature to outlaw them!
People like Carolyn exist elsewhere, but it seems these days that in South Dakota they are the people running things.
With many more Carolyns are coming here, perhaps it is a good time to leave.
Carolyn Heffler (sp?) from Rapid City says she moved here from California. Points to a BLM book "Anger is a Gift" that promoted cop-bashing, social Marxism, etc she says. Librarian recommends the book & books on LGBTQ+ topics. Numerous books show cops as racist murderers.
