Do even These people deserved to be fleeced by Beck?

Local tea party looking to lure Glenn Beck to Rapid City (RCJ 7/14/2010)

The Citizens for Liberty tea party affiliate in Rapid City is working to bring conservative radio and television host Glenn Beck to town in the next few months.

And it's likely to cost about $100,000.

Bob Ellis is quite giddy about it:

"It's not a done deal, but it's looking pretty optimistic," Citizens for Liberty board member Bob Ellis said Wednesday. "We've got the matter of some money to raise."

Just what we need this fall: a showcase of opportunism, fear, ignorance, ugliness, and mental illness in one neat package.

I can't wait to hear him extemporize on his favorite themes (like: white victimhood) in OUR town.

  1. Why worry now?

Sold out motel rooms, lots of American flags, Deadwood gambling, gun sales, a couple of cross burnings, Borglum worship.

Are you kidding? Rapid City is the perfect venue for an anti-Rainbow gathering.

ps: don't forget a coat-hanger (you know, in case you want to roast a squirrel).

  2. Heck, they could invite me to speak for 1/100th of that cost, and I could draw just as big of a conservative audience... and increase sales of the tomatoes they'd bring to throw at me. :-D

  3. I'm not in favor of that.

It'd be a waste of tasty South Dakota tomatoes.
