Louie Crew: why bother

Recently it's been hard for anyone who doesn't agree with the church's refusal to include all to even feel like participating in a faith community at all.

Louie Crew, founder of Integrity USA, recently encouraged LGBT folks who feel like they are not welcome in their church, and eloquently and persuasively answers the question: "why bother"? The message was posted on Walking With Integrity.

I think this essay is a fine message for anyone that feels their church isn't what they want it to be and feel discouraged, be they liberal or conservative, Native or White, straight or gay. Dr Crew's main point:
... the church is not a club, but the Body of Christ. In it we are called not to be served, but to serve. We do not come at the bidding of those momentarily in charge, but at the invitation of the Lord of the feast. If we don't show up, the church won't be the church.
Well, I'm off to join the feast, all...

The church is exclusive - the Bible is clear on that. What good is a religion with no rules, no basis for right and wrong? If you do what is wrong (practising homosexual) and do not repent and turn away from that sin, you are not a Christian and are therefore excluded from the Body of Christ.

I believe someone has forgotten the "greatest commandment"... "LOVE".
