From the Rapid City Journal - they will no doubt have updates soon...
Voters approved the special tax district 4,170 to 3,390 in Tuesday's special citywide election. The BID funds generated by downtown property owners will pay for the operations of Main Street Square and future downtown improvements.
In the Rapid City Council races, Jordan Mason ran away in Ward 4, defeating John Roberts 610 to 321. Bonny Petersen came out on top in Ward 5, earning 1,078 votes to Ron Sasso's 820.
Ron Sasso's defeat (although it was not a blowout by any means) gives me hope that the Citizens For Liberty (for people that look like us) are going to have a tough time getting candidates to proudly wear their label on their chest.
